Protecting the Environment

The Rotary Club of Waupaca established an Environment Committee in 2020, and moved quickly to identify and complete several projects, including:

• • Replaced the roof on a historic Ice Age Trail cabin
  • In Rotary Riverview Park, we’ve planted two trees, placed a park bench in honor of former club president Gene Wasserberg, and annually mulch beds and plant flowers
  • Adopting a stretch of highway to help maintain (Hwy 22, south of US 10)
  • Working with local school districts on School Forest and Prairie projects

Projects to protect the environment often create hands-on work opportunities for club members and others in the community.
