The Rotary Club of Waupaca is eager to support ideas, programs, and people that are working to innovate, grow, and meet challenges in our community. Below is a summary of grants, awards, and scholarships offered by our club, including links to access related forms.
Grants
Community Service Grant
Grants to area organizations that support on-going community programs and new initiatives aligned to Our club’s mission to serve others, promote integrity and advance understanding, goodwill, and peace.

Education Grants
Grants fund projects in Waupaca, Iola, and Weyauwega school districts that enhance studies in key areas, are innovative, encourage cooperation, and provide access to new learning opportunities.

- Grant Amount Available: Up to $1,000 per grant
- Timing: Applications due by October 15, with award announcements by November 15

Youth Connections Grants
Provides funds for projects that promote community enhancement, encourage healthy decisions for youth and families, and create opportunities for youth leadership. Projects must be youth-led.

- Grant Amount Available: Up to $1,000 per grant
- Timing: Three grant cycles each school year. Information available at area high schools.

Awards
Teacher/Staff Service Above Self Award
An award that recognizes a teacher or staff member who has made a difference through their involvement in the community, including service in a community organization, charity, service club or community project.

- Award amount: $250 to the award recipient, and $250 to a charity of their choice
High School Community Service Award
Selection process managed by Waupaca High School Student Council. Award recognizes a graduating senior who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to volunteerism and community service.

- Award amount: $250 to the award recipient’s charity of choice
- Timing: End of school year
Middle School Service Above Self Award
Middle School Faculty & Staff recommend students that show exemplary behavior through acts of kindness, perseverance, good citizenship, and leadership.

- Award amount: $30 to the award recipient’s charity of choice
- Timing: Monthly during the school year.
Scholarships
Mike Malone Scholarship
The Waupaca School District scholarship committee selects a student to receive this scholarship based on the Rotary Service Above Self criteria – community service, leadership and citizenship.

- Scholarship amount: $2000, paid out in $500 increments over four years

Gene Wasserberg Memorial Scholarship
The Waupaca School District scholarship committee selects a student to receive this scholarship. Scholarship is for students pursuing an Engineering, Business or Entrepreneurial curriculum. Attendance to a Wisconsin school and community service are considered.

Technical College Scholarships
Up to four scholarship recipients are selected by Waupaca High School faculty and staff. What more can we say here?
